Upper back and neck pain treatment

Exercises that actually work

There are various exercises you can perform to help with your upper back and neck pain. Our treatment focuses on improving posture and neuromuscular control that encourages long lasting benefits.

Best treatment method

The MUJO upper back and neck pain treatment plan is designed to detect weaknesses, muscle imbalances and problems in your upper quadrant and shoulder. Our treatment plan is individualised to you to primarily reduce and remove pain and ensure it is long lasting.

Avoid recurring pain

It is not uncommon for the pain to return, especially in those who work on desks and in offices. Our treatment retrains your muscles to activate normally to ensure good posture and ensure the muscles themselves are not then overused when working on desks. The aim of retraining your muscles is to avoid the problem from developing again.

Who is this treatment for?

If any of the following apply to you, then this treatment plan is for you.

Signs and symptoms

There are a multitude of signs and symptoms but the following are the most common:

  • Burning pain in muscle, especially above and in between your shoulder blades.
  • You feel like you need to click or crack your back by twisting your shoulder or neck.
  • You feel like there is a muscle knot on the underside of the scapula.
  • It feels like you need to push parts of your upper back into a corner of some sort for relief.
  • It can be sore to reach your chest with your chin.
  • Stretching your trapezius muscles could cause discomfort and pain.

You tried conventional physiotherapy and massage, but are unhappy with the results

We have noticed that many people who suffer from upper back and neck pain do benefit from conventional therapies. However, there two main problems with current therapies:

  • They don’t necessarily prevent a recurrence.
  • You need to keep revisiting the therapist to ensure the problem doesn’t return.

Current therapies that include exercises may not prevent a recurrence primarily as the exercise program given to you were not very well defined[1]. In addition, the home exercises or exercises that need to be performed without any supervision can lead to poor forms and therefore incorrect exercises[2]. Incorrect forms during exercises can aggravate the problems further if not rectified.

You want to get better, get better quickly and solve the problem once and for all.

You would not be here if you didn’t want this.

Who is this treatment not suitable for?
